Celebrating Our Second Conference

We brought together leading aging researchers and biotech investors for two action-packed days of science and business.

On July 11th, 2019, we hosted our second conference, Ending Age-Related Diseases 2019, at the Frederick P. Rose Auditorium, part of the Cooper Union campus in New York City. We are delighted to annouce that the event was totally sold out and we are looking at moving to a bigger venue next year given the huge success our second year has enjoyed. This year was a big step up in terms of scale for us as we moved from the single-day of last year to the two-day event we hosted this year and over thirty industry-leading speakers!

What our guests thought

We had an amazing range of guests who came to join us from not just the United States but from all over the world. We had people from the pharmaceutical industry, investors and biotech VCs, researchers, enthusiasts, and several of the Lifespan Heroes, our monthly patrons, also made the journey. Here is what some of our guests and speakers had to say about the event.

LEAF has become one of the world’s most important forces in spearheading the crusade to bring aging to an end. Their advocacy work continues to gain prominence, and with their series of New York conferences, they are now bringing the most cutting-edge scientific advances to a general audience. These fantastic events are an invaluable US counterpart to the ones that SENS Research Foundation runs in Berlin, and they are making a great contribution to the anti-aging crusade.
– Dr. Aubrey de Grey, SENS Research Foundation

I can’t think of a better way for a venue to accelerate breakthroughs in human longevity than to put leading scientists and investors in the same room. The scientists get to directly meet investors and learn about the present and future funding landscape, while the investors get to meet key scientists and keep on top of the state of the art in the field of longevity research.

– Dr. Oliver Medvedik, Kanbar Center for Biomedical Engineering

Because of the nature of my work I get to go to several international conferences every year. I attended the Ending Age-Related Disease conference in NY this year and it is now at the top of my list. A perfect sized event with exceptional speakers and flawlessly ran, ideal for learning the latest in the Longevity field, both on the scientific and investment side of things. Also, great for networking and connecting with fellow longevitists. Well done Lifespan team!

– Maria Entraigues, SENS Research Foundation

I’m grateful that there are a growing number of people that are interested in studying and conquering aging and age-related diseases!

– Professor Michael Lustgarten, Tufts University

The Lifespan Extension Advocacy Foundation volunteers once again put on a great conference in Manhattan, attracting some of the most influential researchers, investors, and entrepreneurs involved in the new and growing field of human rejuvenation. The event was characterized by extremely interesting presentations, ideas, and new data from work in progress in labs and companies. These are exciting times, and Ending Age-Related Diseases is a conference series well worth adding to your conference schedule.
