SENS Research Foundation
Organization Description
SENS Research Foundation is a non-profit org that works to develop, promote, and ensure widespread access to therapies that cure and prevent the diseases and disabilities of aging by comprehensively repairing the damage that builds up in our bodies over time.
One of the very first and most well-known anti-aging organizations, SENS Research Foundation focuses its research on seven principal causes of aging listed on its website: cell loss, cancer, mitochondrial mutations, senescent cells, extracellular cross-links, extracellular aggregates, and intracellular aggregates. By sponsoring research that repairs these damages, SRF hopes to extend healthy lifespan, and Lifespan.io has worked with the SENS team on funding its ongoing MitoMouse project.
