About Namir Khaliq Namir Khaliq is the founder of Protostellar Media, a production company designed specifically to help scientists tell stories about their work. The company provides the groundwork for scientists and science communicators to establish themselves as part of the creative process for film and television, with current partners including Daniel Kahneman, Nick Bostrom, Richard Dawkins, Helen Fisher, The Santa Fe Institute, and the Life Extension Advocacy Foundation. Prior to Protostellar, Namir worked in feature film and scripted television development at Imagine Entertainment, the multi-Academy and Emmy Award winning production company of director Ron Howard and producer Brian Grazer, where he helped develop films such as 13 Lives (Amazon), The Beanie Bubble (Apple), and Friday Night Lights (Universal), and television shows such as Filthy Rich (Fox), Genius (Nat Geo), and Under the Banner of Heaven (FX). He previously worked in film development, production, and sales at companies including Mosaic Media Group, Everyman Pictures, Funny or Die, and VMI Worldwide.
