Venture CEO / Entrepreneur-in-Residence (Longevity Therapeutics)

Location: Remote

About the Opportunity

We are a mission-driven nonprofit at the forefront of longevity science ready to launch a series of breakthrough longevity therapeutic & diagnostic spinout companies. These ventures are built on compelling scientific platforms with strong potential for near-term private financing:

Our internal research programs have spinout ready assets in areas such as:

  •  • Novel senolytic therapeutics

  •  • Mitophagy and mitochondrial health therapeutics

  •  • Advanced brain interface and biomarker technologies for aging-related neurological conditions

Companies are backed by differentiated science, credible early data, and a clear path toward further translational development. We are seeking an experienced Venture CEO, Entrepreneur-in-Residence (EIR), or Interim CEO to help lead one or various companies through formation, fundraising, and early company building.

This is a unique opportunity to shape the trajectory of high-potential therapeutics and neurotechnology companies working on one of the defining challenges of our time: extending healthy human lifespan and improving quality of life in aging populations.

The Role

This individual will serve as the business leader and strategic architect for an early-stage therapeutics company, helping translate compelling science into a fundable, scalable venture.

The ideal candidate combines strong fundraising and business development capabilities with an understanding of biotech company formation, therapeutic development, and investor expectations at the seed stage.

You will work closely with scientific founders and stakeholders to:

  • • Develop a compelling company narrative and investor story

  • • Build fundraising materials, including pitch decks, data rooms, and investor updates

  • • Identify, prioritize, and engage high-value seed and Series A investors

  • • Lead or support seed financing efforts

  • • Evaluate company strategy, business model, and go-to-market opportunities

  • • Help define regulatory, development, and commercialization strategy

  • • Identify opportunities to reduce operating costs and increase capital efficiency

  • • Pursue non-dilutive funding opportunities, including grants, partnerships, and foundation support

  • • Support company formation activities, including recruiting advisors, assembling early teams, and building external partnerships

  • • Represent the company with investors, strategic partners, scientific collaborators, and other stakeholders

Ideal Background

We are open to candidates from either business or scientific backgrounds, provided they have strong experience building and financing early-stage therapeutics companies.

Ideal candidates may have experience as:

  • • Founder, CEO, COO, CSO, or business lead at an early-stage biotech company

  • • Entrepreneur-in-Residence or Venture Partner within biotech venture capital

  • • Business development leader in therapeutics or life sciences

  • • Consultant or operator with experience in biotech strategy, fundraising, and company building

Qualifications

Required:

  • • Demonstrated experience raising capital for early-stage therapeutics or biotechnology companies
  • • Strong understanding of biotech fundraising, investor dynamics, and company formation
  • • Experience building investor materials and leading investor outreach
  • • Ability to synthesize complex scientific concepts into a clear and compelling business narrative
  • • Familiarity with therapeutic development pathways, regulatory strategy, and early-stage company operations
  • • Strong communication, relationship-building, and project management skills
  • • Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to work in a fast-moving, resource-constrained environment
  • • Strong alignment with the mission of advancing longevity science and extending healthy human lifespan

Preferred:

  • • Experience in longevity biotechnology, therapeutics, aging biology, mitochondrial biology, senescence, neurotechnology, brain health, or related fields

  • • Advanced scientific degree (PhD, MD, or equivalent) and/or business degree (MBA)

  • • Existing network of biotech investors, family offices, strategic partners, and grant-making organizations

  • • Experience securing non-dilutive capital, including grants and foundation funding

  • • Experience with preclinical-stage therapeutic companies and translational research

Location

This role is remote, with a preference for candidates based in the San Francisco Bay Area or New York City. Exceptional candidates from other locations will also be considered.

Why This Role

  • • Help launch and shape multiple potentially transformative longevity and neurotechnology companies

  • • Work alongside leading scientists and mission-driven stakeholders

  • • Play a foundational role in company formation, fundraising, and strategy

  • • Contribute to a field with the potential to meaningfully improve human health and lifespan

  • • Join a mission-oriented effort focused on solving one of the world’s most important challenges

Why This Structure

This role is intentionally broader than a traditional Interim CEO position. The ideal candidate will act as a venture builder, company architect, fundraiser, and strategic operator during the earliest stages of company formation.

The structure is inspired in part by venture creation models used by industry leaders, which pair scientific founders with experienced entrepreneurs to build high-impact platform companies from the ground up.
