Their nodes attach to traditional data infrastructures instead of requiring a rip and replace like most Web3 technologies. They support 28 database formats today, allowing their customers to focus on their use cases as opposed to forming a smart contract engineering team.

The tools and services Weavechain are developing could be valuable in the decentralized science (DeSci) movement, which aims to increase scientific funding, free knowledge from silos, and cut out profit-motivated intermediaries such as publisher conglomerates that lock scientific data behind paywalls.

Finding ways to collaborate on research outside of traditional funding methods, and their limitations, holds great potential and what Weavechain is doing could help increase trust and security into DeSci initiatives and communities.
